Every day of the year, Albert's Diamond Jewelers creates a warm and personal experience for each customer who walks through the door. Albert's has always succeeded in providing wonderful customer care to each client.

However, on Valentine's Day, they go above and beyond the already-high bar they have set for themselves.

Each year on Valentine's Day, the Albert's family invites couples into their store to be married. The staff excitedly sets everything up for each ceremony and for one day, they all become wedding planners. They make sure each couple receives a glass of champagne for a toast along with their own wedding cake. The store is filled with music, rows of chairs for witnesses to view the ceremony, and a beautiful backdrop for each couple to pledge their love to one another. The couples receive photos and a video of the ceremony. Not a single detail is forgotten; everything is perfect.

"Our wedding ceremonies are for lovers who want to share the date with my parents," said Joshua Halpern, President of Albert's Diamond Jewelers.

In 1968, Joshua's parents - Fred and Donna Halpern, owners at the time - were wed on Valentine's Day

"It's for people who want to do something that's very unique. They want a different experience. We love to do that for them," Halpern explained.

"We do many events throughout the year that we get excited for and this is one of our favorites because it's built on love - the foundation of our business," said Christine Martinez, the Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Director. "We love to welcome the couples and learn their love stories. It's wonderful to know they're allowing Albert's Diamond Jewelers to be a part of their big day."

This event displays just how comfortable people from the region are with the Albert's family. The relationship between Albert's and the community shines brightest on Valentine's Day.

"It goes back to my father and the principles that I was taught about how we need to treat people and how to respect people. Our mission statement is to give more in value than we receive in payment. When people come into our store, they're coming into our house. We want to treat them like they're our best friends. They want to come to us because we always treat them a certain way. This is completely complimentary, whether they buy their rings here or not." explained Halpern.

Each year, the event is a culmination of amazing of stories and people. Photographer Bernie Zemen has been photographing the weddings at Albert's for Timeless Images Photography for about ten years.

"I look forward to this every year because it's a such a variety of people. I remember one year there was a 92-year-old couple. The television networks even came for that one," Zemen continued, "I've seen couples that found each other online and decided to get married here. Another couple met in high school, lost touch, and then married 40 years later when they reconnected. This is such a great event for the community."

"This is really nice," said Apples Vasquez, the first bride to be wed at the store in 2017. "They made it so easy! I love that my family was able to come and that this is such a beautiful setting."

Everyone at Albert's Diamond Jewelers is happy to wish you a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Albert's is thankful to Ultra Foods for donating the cakes, and to Monarch for the donated flowers and decor. Timeless Images Photography provided photos, and Ervin Video Services provided video.
